Historic statue of famed navigator located in nearby Sines

Vasco de Gama Statue is located near the Sines castle where the famous navigator who discovered the passage to India was born in 1469. Nearby, the church of São Salvador is located were de Gama and his family attended. The statue is south of the church and near the west wall of the castle.
