Fine display of historic clothing and other artifacts

First opened in 1977, the National Museum of Costume (Museu Nacional do Traje) houses a fine display of historic clothing and artifacts. The museum is located in one of the historic 18th century palaces. The exhibits include civilian clothes as well as national costumes from many different eras.
