Historic Jesuit church featuring large collection of baroque silver

Museu de São Roque can be found inside the historic Jesuit church Igreja de São Roque, featuring a large collection of baroque silver and other elaborate artifacts. This ornate church, which is filled with elaborate paintings, is known for the richness of it's interior ornaments and decorations.

Museu de São Roque includes a chapel honoring John the baptist that is considered an artistic masterpiece. The chapel is open Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free. It can be reached by bus.
