Description

The Portuguese Presidential Museum, though small, is well worth a visit for its incredible presentation of state gifts. Among the most remarkable is the one from Brazilian President Juscelino Kubitschek in 1957 – an enormous tortoiseshell featuring hand-painted images of Brazilian scenes. The museum also showcases swords from Saudi Arabia and a captivating Japanese dance scene. Not to be missed is the official portrait of President Mário Soares – he looks like he had a great sense of humour!
