Museu Bordalo Pinheiro is dedicated to the work of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro. Pinheiro was a man of many talents and the museum includes a wide variety of his works such as: paintings, drawings, lithographs, prints, periodicals and ceramics. This museum first opened in 1916.
Museu Bordalo Pinheiro has been managed by the Department of Museums since 1942. Many of the pieces in the museum's collection were assembled by the poet Republican Cruz Magalhães.The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. On Sundays admission is free to children up to 18 years of age, senior citizens, students, and people with disabilities.
