Animals and other children's attractions

Lisbon's zoo has 2,000 animals from 332 species, about a third of them mammals. With the help of sponsors, the Jardim Zoológico has made strides in improving the conditions of mega-fauna such as rhinoceroses and lions, while ensuring decent viewing facilities.

Jardim Zoológico has a large collection of lemurs, a well-stocked reptile house and 157 bird species. There's a mini-train to take the strain, a botanical garden and an animal-themed amusement park.
