Green-thumbs from the student body have lovingly nurtured the Jardim Botânico, a serene pocket of lushness featuring 1500 species of plants, which recently underwent a €500,000 renovation. The project focused primarily on improvements to the infrastructure, but it also included the construction of a new amphitheatre. Don't miss out on the Madeiran geraniums, sequoias, and purple jacarandas, especially the gigantic Moreton Bay fig tree at the entrance to the upper-level gardens.
