Founded in 1147, the Mosteiro de São Vicente de Fora in Graça underwent a revamp by Italian architect Felipe Terzi in the late 16th century. Miraculously, the adjacent church only sustained minor damage during the 1755 earthquake, with its dome crashing through the sacristy's ceiling but emerging otherwise unscathed. As a result, the Mosteiro's walls are now adorned with elaborate blue-and-white azulejos that echo the building's architectural curves.
