The history of filmmaking

Cinemateca Portuguesa is a film museum featuring many exhibits and archives on the history of filmmaking. The collection is primarily Portugal, although artifacts from other countries are included as well. The museum also hosts an occasional viewing with related discussions.

Cinemateca Portuguesa's museum is open on weekdays. Visitors will find a number of cameras, books, photographs, and other objects. There is also a library that is open to the public as well as a bookshop, coffee shop, and restaurant.
