This magnificent triumphal arch was constructed following the devastating 1755 earthquake. An elevator can quickly transport you to the top, where beautiful sights of Praça do Comércio, the Rio Tejo and Castelo de São Jorge can be seen. Visitors under the age of five can enter for free.
